• Dalhousie (12/20) - cited non-Canadian citizenship as reason for rejection - colleagues at *other* Canadian institutions had urged me to apply saying citizenship didn't matter much in the searches they'd been on, but then colleagues at Dal. said it did, & the letter confirmed it.
  I added 2 cents earlier, but someone deleted in re: Canadian citizenship. It depends on the pool, and politics of the department. They make 2 pools but some combine them early and some keep them separate.

  Incredible!, this is the first time I am hearing something like this! (I actually really appreciated the gesture of having my stuff mailed back, either they mail it back or throw it out, I prefer the former. Weird to say it, but UCSC's was one of the nicer rejections I've had)
