A growing network of individuals, groups, organizations, agencies and companies committed to finding smart ways to work with each other. We are working to establish 1) a virtual network for communication, sharing information and providing a common place for individuals groups and the media to find out about events, campaigns and leaders; 2) a physical center where, at a minimum there could be a resource library and meeting facilities for eco-related meetings to take place. Ideally it could be a model green building large enough to allow many nonprofit groups to co-office and share copiers, conference rooms, web development staff, pr support, etc. 3) more frequent and regular ways for groups to collaborate with each other, share ideas and accomplish goals together.

I subscribe to this service from the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. It is in a handy summary form that I find useful, and I only get 1 email per

Howdy All,
I think the tech in this module is very cool - more choices than I think the average person will be able to digest, but an interesting and user friendly set-up for sure...I was just playing with descriptions for this project.
what do you all think? does this help?
our goal ... to create a centralized web calendar that reaches out broadly to mainstream Austinites and eco-Austinites alike. the calendar will feature green living events and activities organized into several different "layers" (layers controlled by the user). The calendar will be maintained kept current by approved by member orgnaizations, such as local environmental non-profits. The calendar aims to be a shared, single best-resource for all those interested in accessing "what's happening" in the Austin green community.
the calendar's user/members base will grow as more groups are approved and given access.
This is more or less the idea for the "Austin Green Community Events" Calendar as I understand it from Sunday night's meeting ... however I know there is prior vision for an "Austin Eco Calendar" - we should sort out those details next time we get together ...
Hopefully this is helpful?!
Thanks & talk to you soon,
