The door knocker fragment is heavy in your palm, and surprisingly cold. It has fallen from the door of Mansion Bedillam and no doubt conceals some malicious evil design.
The jewel is a gem-stone, fashioned by the ancient smiths of Pagea, a relic from the sunken city of humankind. It glows of its own accord, creating and reflecting light in a multifarosity of iridescent hues.
The door knocker fragment begins to shake in your hand as it nears Lake Thrullmere.
The door knocker sinks quickly, soon fading out of view, but as it does you are struck by a bitter cold, knawing down to your very bones. In moments you hear a great rumble, and then a flash of white, from the centre of the Thrullmere as the soupy ethereal mists clear for a moment and you espy the rooftops of a sunken village. The mist reclaims the centre of the lake almost as soon as the vision is afford you, but floating from the same spot, by what means you know not, is something else, a beautiful jewel, glistening in the sunlight.
