The old woman recognises the torn flag immediately and gasps. "This is the standard of my father's house - where I once dwelt within the eaves of the Greenwood forest. I shall repair it for you on condition that you return it to its rightful place." You nod agreement, eager to complete the old woman's quest.

The old woman holds the flag on her lap and begins to repair it.
Before long the rip in the flag is gone. The old woman smiles as she admires her work.
"Now take this, mine own past life, and restore it to the top of my world!" the old woman says, her eyes smiling.
You connect the two hooks, and lower the trapdoor with the long pole. As you do so, by a clever mechanism a collapsible stair slides down allowing passage up onto the roof.

You delicately attach the flag to the pole, ensuring it is properly held.
