She is an old crone, the years rest upon her weary shoulders like heavy weights ever pressing down upon her soul. Yet you see an unmistakable proud look in her face, although her eyes appear to be half closed as if squinting to see something. A blind old crone is a picture of health and vitality. A blind old crone is not holding anything. A blind old crone is not wearing anything.

You wipe the spectacles with the white cloth and before long they are much cleaner and obviously due to some magic, the crack in the lens has gone.
clean spectacles
The spectacles are clean enough - you wouldn't want to damage them would you?
clean spectacles (when already clean)
You hand the spectacles to the old woman, who mounts them carefully on her wrinkled nose. "I can see!" she warbles, her cracked voice raised in an ecstatic cry. "I must reward you, my friend. Come with me to my bedroom and I will spin you some clothes for you to wear!".
give spectacles to crone
An old woman hobbles in and takes her seat by the spinning wheel.
The old woman begins to spin, the thread whizzing along the spinning wheel, her dextrous movements amazing you. You stand aghast as the old woman weaves a beautiful piece of clothing.
The woman looks about her, and mentions something about supplying the weaver with another shirt.
"With my sight restored I am seized by the desire to paint!" explains the old crone. If you were to furnish her with an easel, palette and paintbrush she would gladly give the finished piece to you.
greet crone (after she has spectacles)
