| wight159 | a terrifying barrow-wight | You look closer at the wight, trying to overcome the terrible fear it exudes, and notice an iron crown suspended in the darkness where its head should be. A terrifying barrow-wight is a picture of health and vitality. A terrifying barrow-wight is not holding anything. A terrifying barrow-wight is not wearing anything. | Burial chamber, Greenwood |
| sceptre269 | an adamant sceptre | The sceptre is radiant with the pure shine of adamant, suffused the sparkle of the many precious gems which have been inlaid upon the metal. At its head is an orb of gold, engraved with the symbol of a lion embraced in a heraldic motto. | Burial chamber, Greenwood |
| carpet272 | a beautiful tapestry | The immaculate needlework and intricate detail of this tapestry lay testament to its value as a work of art. Depicted are the members of an ancient household gathered together underneath the eaves of a spreading tree. Standing at the forefront is the figure of a tall knight, a sceptre raised aloft in his hand. | Burial chamber, Greenwood |
| coffin273 | a stone sarcophagus | The sarcophagus must surely be the resting place of a hero amoungst men, for its length is over ten foot. Tenderly hewn from a dense black stone and smoothed to a dull shine, the coffin's lid is marked with light silver lines into the heraldic crest of a lion, embracing a motto in ancient letters. | Burial chamber, Greenwood |
| book274 | a small black tome | This tome has but a few pages, detailing the a magical ritual concerned the laying to rest or exorcising of troubled spirits. Particularly you notice a short chant that, it is said, when performed in the presence of suitable artifacts of the misfortunate undead's former life, will lay their spirit to rest. | Burial chamen, Greenwood |
| crown359 | an iron crown | You pick up the crown, and place it upon your head. A strange feeling engulfs you, and surging with power you feel reborn. Then, reaching out to pick up your weapons, you see your hand fade into a dark shadow. You scream, and looking down, your clothes have changed into the dark robes of a barrow wight. Now you have replaced the previous occupier as the barrow-wight of this tomb, forever bound to evil and unable to leave this place. | Burial chamber, Greenwood |
| shield360 | a golden shield | The shield is made of a light metal, and crafted beautifully. Its front shows a mighty hero wielding a flaming brand defeating a foul slimy creature. It is marked with the stamp of Zazenhen. The armour is in reasonably good repair. | Burial chamber, Greenwood |

| You thrust the shortsword forward and the wight jumps back, wailing. Pressing your advantage you jab forward, skewering the dark creature through its cold heart. A disembodied scream fills the air, the Wight's iron crown topples to the floor. The sword appears to melt, and you drop it as it fades away, its purpose fulfilled. | jab wight (while wielding shortsword) |
| The words of the tome echo about the musty chamber but have no effect, for the tapestry upon the sarcophagus has not been correctly blessed. | read book (when sceptre not on tapestry) |
| You place the sceptre atop the tapestry where it lies spread over the coffin. There is a spectacular blaze of light from the gemstones, shedding a spectrum of colour across the room. | put sceptre on tapestry |
| Your words ring out through the shallow chamber, echoing through the damp air until resounding softly into oblivion. | read tome (when sceptre on tapestry) |
| The sceptre flares brightly with incandescence, then flickers and becomes dull. | |
| The shadow of the wight fades, then flickers and utterly disappears. Its robes fall to the ground with the iron crown which it wore. | |
| The sceptre begins to flicker, each gem upon its surface scintillating with a marvellous light. The aurora is cast about the silver threads of the tapestry, lending a life-like quality to the figures upon it. | |
| An ethereal mist gathers about the effulgence of the sceptre, enveloping the sarcophagus in a shimmering cloud of light. From the cloud rises the spectre of a tall, handsome gentlemen clad in ceremonial armour. In his hand he bears the adamant sceptre and from his empty lips spring forth words tinged with ancient sorrow. "Ye hath saved me from the binding curse of the Orcish Shaman wherein I was held in eternal torment as a twisted undead. Now my burial cairn shall be sealed and at peace again. Flee ye, my saviour, unless you wish to be buried here with me." |
