Nirejhenge: What a sad incident that was.
VernonIneptitude: I remember the days when no file was over 400k big.
VernonIneptitude: We never had the epic downloads we have these days. Some say the artistry has all but vanished
Nirejhenge: It's a sad thing but that's the way things are going these days
Nirejhenge: All the broadbanders are taking over so file sizes just keep going up and up
Nirejhenge: But still just imagine the scope for downloads in the future.
VernonIneptitude: I think that what will happen, Bob, is that we will see the introduction of different size catagories for downloads.
VernonIneptitude: if this happens we may even see some female downloaders on the scene! This may upset the traditionalists a little.
Nirejhenge: We could end up with a hyper super heavyweight catagory for those several gigabyte multi-day downloads.
VernonIneptitude: I can think of a few downloaders on the league who have the endurance and training for that kind of download size.
Nirejhenge: It's been a bone of contention for some time, the female downloader.. personally I welcome the diversity
VernonIneptitude: I'd have to agree with you there Bob, downloading is an event that both men and women can compete in equally.

Nirejhenge: With the right preperation anyone can participate. I mean look how much younger the downloaders are getting these days.
VernonIneptitude: I find that these days, on these big files, the excitement fades between the 50% and 70% mark
VernonIneptitude: But we've reached 73%, and the crowds are beginning to perk up again.
Nirejhenge: Ah the incredible 73% mark

Nirejhenge: The time from downloading to Downloaded. The percentage just goes up and up from here.
VernonIneptitude: I've only ever seen it go down once, Bob.
Nirejhenge: That was a remarkable incident. No one could have ever forseen such a thing, bob. The downloader was in such dissaray after that.
VernonIneptitude: To get all that way, and then have the file start to UPload.
Nirejhenge: The crowd were in tears.
Nirejhenge: It's the worst thing that could ever happen to a downloader.
VernonIneptitude: That's right, Bob.

VernonIneptitude: Apart from the quite common disconnections at 99%, hah hah hah! Hah!

Nirejhenge: What a thing they are..
Nirejhenge: We've seen many tragedies like that go down in the past.
VernonIneptitude: Although regulations state that the downloader may attempt a retry, very few bother.
VernonIneptitude: Many tragic suicides have occured in the downloading scene from such things.
Nirejhenge: It's just not worth it by that stage, after all you usally find the file starting to download all over agian.
Nirejhenge: We've certainly lost a few downloaders by the wayside due to that bob
VernonIneptitude: Some of them have vowed never to download again, which is a great loss for the downloading league. Some many fine downloaders...
Nirejhenge: Oh without a doubt. The time when it happened to mike 'ace' saunders. He was the best in the biz but when that happened..
Nirejhenge: He walked out and was never seen downloading again
