One doodlebook you won't see here is the HR Giger book because a)The cover is a copywrited image and b)there are no interesting doodles on it.
I suppose technically I shouldn't have put the Centurions one on here. -Derek

Very little in this one. Mainly due to its size. Was never meant to be the start of what the Doodle Books became. I created a monster! -Derek

You see how crap that writing is where I have written my name? I was about 12 when I wrote that. I was still writing something like that when I was 14. Until my dad showed me how to write a bit better.
My handwriting remains a mess but is far better than it was back then. To think the school did nothing about it is disgraceful. Still they taught me the crap writing in the first place. The 'Nelson' school of handwriting.
Whatever that was.

It's a bit crap really. Very little of interest. Lots of jokes stolen from other things. Still, it was the start of the things to come. Or something.

So titled because Duncan was constantly plagued by the number 62 at that time. For some reason it was cropping up everywhere. Hence, 'Damn Spooky'.

An Andrew creation (and title). About the first Doodlebook to be colourful. Andrew had taken a fancy to some felt tip pens. This book isn't as good as I remember it being.

This book isn't nice. It's full of hate and nastiness. There's hardly anything worth reading in it.

Zoom In
Zoom InComments:
The most foul mouthed of the Doodlebooks. Practically every page is filled with swearing. The word Fuck being used probably more times than in any other book (in the world ever).
It was a Janine creation, she was after all a bit fond of swearing in the Doodlebooks. Everything about the book was designed to be offensive.
Even the front cover is particularly unpleasant to look at. That's art that is.

The Goth period. Lots of gore/goth and Hellraiser.

Zoom InComments:
A pretty hate filled book again this one. Also features a guest appearance from Peter Wallis Bostock (or Simon Phoenix as he is now known).
He added the line "EEEEEHHH Bolloks" on the back of the book. Naturally I felt most of the hate was projected in my direction.

This is one of my favourite covers for some reason. The book brings back happy memories. Probably things like Pound Coin Stamping are what do it. This one was started by Andrew.

One of the few Doodle Books to be truly considered full. There's a spectacularly uncreative Questionnaire filling most of it though. There's over 100 questions. Janine started this book.

A book which was started by Andrew, was fairly thin and fairly colourful. Slightly less chaotic than the old style.
The Doodle Book application form was a bit of a failure though.

I have fond memories of this and I particularly like the fact that there's a plaster attatched to the cover.
The Fantastic Four thing was fun to do. Even if it doesn't stand the test of time. It was a big A4 pad of paper and there's not an awful lot in it.

A Simmons and Williams product (reference there to Reeves + Mortimer). Started as a bit of a travel journal on our trip to Uttoxeter. Went on to feature a script, among other things. Quite a thick book and largely full.

Not a bad book overall. Has the start of the Nylell story and the character profiles. A bit of nastiness in the form of the Derek Spoilt it all series but then I did keep interfering with other people's work.

One night we all got together and went to the Bowling alley. That is Derek, Andrew and Duncan. We bought some notepads from ASDA. We sat in the Bowling Alley doodling away for a couple of hours. It was a spectacularly good result.
It was a bit of a reunion for Doodlebook Staff after Duncan had been at Uni. There's some fab stuff in here.
It's a shame I let Tom (someone from my IT Course) join in. Further details in the the tom incident.

We fancied ourselves as games reviewers. Myself in particular. However, I wasn't. The way we arrived at ratings for games is by giving them 10 catagories to mark out of 10. Add them up and you get the percentage.
Our award for good games was a MACE ACE. The mark required to get a MACE ACE seemed a bit variable though. Very few games managed to achieve over 70% though.

Zoom InThis one was done whilst I was on my IT course. It doesn't feature Duncan as I recall but I could be wrong.
I used DTP software to create this one. Of course it wasn't a bookazine. I can't remember whether it came before or after the bookazine ish 3.
We started to review Amiga games, despite previously hating the Amiga (during the Mace years) for not being a Spectrum.

The drawing on the cover which claims to be The Elephant Man was done by a slightly annoying person who was in our history class.
He was called Richard Fodham. Am I allowed to write someone's name on here? -Derek
It's only libel if it's falsehood presented as fact. Since it's true that he drew the picture and he was slightly annoying, I think we are safe.
Despite being a book of plays it featured quite a lot of stories
