[[jwtk]] MXit Protocol

Route:

To use the Wireless Toolkit Network monitoring tools you can do the following (on Linux.Windows should be the same.):

user@localhost:~/WTK2.2/bin$ ./prefs

Select the 'Monitor' tab. Tick the box that says 'Enable Network Monitoring'. Click Ok.
Next run the emulator:

user@localhost:~/WTK2.2/bin$ ./emulator -Xjam:run=1

This assumes you have Mxit already installed. The run=1 will vary depending on your computer.
To find the correct number you may run:

user@localhost:~/WTK2.2/bin$ ./emulator -Xjam:list

You should receive an output like this:
[1]
Name: MXit Vendor: MXit Lifestyle Version: 5.1.1 Description: Mobile Instant Messenger Storage name: #M#Xit%0020#Lifestyle_#M#Xit_ Size: 140K Installed From: http://ww1.mxit.co.za/wap/client/source/715352186785d1U.jad MIDlets: MXit

The number in square brackets indicated what you should have after run=

Socks proxy
If you would like to run behind a socks proxy you will need the 'tsocks' application.

Note: As JWTK is 32bit you will need a 32bit version of tsocks

Once tsocks is working simply run:
user@localhost:~/WTK2.2/bin$ tscocks ./emulator -Xjam:run=1
